<aside> 💡 Shortcuts are any text, code, or template you want to use in your work. This can be an outreach message, a frequent response to a customer, or even your Zoom link.
Shortcuts can also contain variables that allow you to pull information from your open tabs into your messages automatically.

To create a shortcut, open up the Magical panel and press Create shortcut. Label your shortcut with a Trigger which is the text you will use to summon the shortcut later. For an outreach message, you could label the trigger, -outreach, for example.
Type your message and click the variables you want to add by selecting them from the variable picker below. Make sure the site where you’d like to pull the variable from is open in a tab. This will allow you to select variables from the appropriate site.
Now, you can use this shortcut anywhere and Magical will fill your variables with information from the tabs you have open.
To try it out, open up Gmail or any other site where you commonly send messages, type //, select your shortcut from the drop-down, and click Fill everything. Magical will populate the message with the variables from the tabs you have open.
